
Steve Compton has managed both small and large projects in a variety of industries. He is a long time PMI member and volunteer – a certified PMP with more than 30 years project management experience. Steve has managed for a technology company the building of several buildings, and he was critical in the automation of multiple manufacturing processes and improvement efforts. Steve completed his degree in Business Administration with a Computer Science minor and has work experience as a manager and as a software developer in addition to the years as a project manager.
Steve is a certified Agile Scrum Master - Advanced / Product Owner – Certified Scrum Professional (CSP). He has 5 years of experience with Agile and scrum work and has coached/ trained teams, departments and organizations in his role as a scrum master.
Steve has certification as a organizational change manager. He has completed both our BE certification and the PROSCI certification for organizational change management and is a charter member of MNCMN (Minnesota change management network). Steve has V3 ITIL certification.
With multiple awards as a Distinguished Toastmaster, Steve is a member of several clubs and continues to refine his leadership and speaking abilities while mentoring and coaching others. Steve is both a Public Speaker and Trainer – leveraging his experience as a Storyteller and actor to make his presentations fun and informative. Steve has completed 18 marathons and loves riding bicycle for long distances. He mixes in stories and interesting props to help communicate a lesson.
